1358-1644, rare and fine fresco likely from a temple or a tomb, clay mixed with straw with a plaster primer over and depicting one of the ten kings of hell as in judgment, flanked by attendants, painted in deep red and green, 25 x 30-3/4 in.; painted wood frame. Condition: extensive losses to paint surface overall; frame with signs of wear overall. Provenance: Proceeds to benefit the Hunter Museum of American Art
