Qing Dynasty, probably Qianlong period, the scroll depicting a detailed landscape with figures fishing from a boat, several calligraphic inscriptions and red seal marks, watercolor on fabric (probably silk), 47-1/2 x 15-3/4 in. (image), mounted on a later silk scroll backing. Condition: scattered stains and surface dirt especially at lower right and in sky, scattered minor wrinkles and light surface wear, later silk scroll mount with distress and wear. Provenance: Purchased by Mrs. A. M. Willoughby from Thai Antiquarian, July 11, 1966, receipt indicates the scroll is Qianlong period (accompanied by copy of receipt and by information regarding the Willoughby family); Private Collection
