character inscription in black enamel along the handle "Daqing Guangxu sanshisinian Jiaotaihu fujin qiucao jinian bei" (cup commemorating the autumn military exercises held near Jiaotaihu during the Guangxu reign of the Great Qing), molded˜in the form of a large lotus blossom, incised overlapping petals enameled in soft shades of pink, yellow dotted stamen with small aperture leading into a hollow stem form spout, 2-1/2 x 7-3/4 x 5-1/8 in.
