19th century, of rectangular form with tapered base, black and red lacquered surface with gilt landscape and figural decoration, hinged lid opening to green felt lined interior with removable fitted tray with dividers, brass carrying handles, 8-1/2 x 15-1/4 x 10-1/4 in.
