19th century, of rectangular chamfered form, painted gilt decoration of figures and structures, opening to a fitted interior with nine sections, seven with gilt painted lid, with 12 gaming trays, deck of Reynolds & Sons and deck of Goodall stamp decorated playing cards, 37 mother of pearl tiles, 20 mother of pearl discs, 27 pierced mother of pearl tiles, 11 fish form mother of pearl tiles, ten mother of pearl rectangles, 8 mother of pearl tiles of ovoid form, with approximately 30 additional tiles, raised on conforming base with gilt paw form feet, 5-1/4 x 15 x 12-1/4 in.

heavy crazing, chipping to black lacquer, losses to gilt decoration, chips to feet, losses throughout, discoloration, hairlines, glue repairs to interior lid, chipping to interior boxes and tray, two decks of cards appear complete, wear and discoloration to mother of pearl tiles, scratching,˜
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
