British, circa 1660, King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba with their attendants, grotto with fountain below, lion and unicorn in lower corners, castle above with mica windows, various plant and animal motifs throughout, silk thread, silk wrapped metallic thread and mica accents, on silk ground, with detached buttonhole elements, queens stitch and needle loop work, 18-1/2 x 23-1/4 in.; carved gilt frame, 22 x 26-1/4 in. - Provenance: Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey
