Taboret, Carved Hardwood Side Chair Chinese, late 19th century: taboret with square top and inset rouge marble, skirts and mask-carved knees, 32 in., marble with one corner break, separations at some joints (legs slightly loose), abrasions and minor losses to edges of legs, one molding loss at edge of top; side chair with dragon-carved back, paneled seat, carved skirt and knees, rich dark color, 36 in., break at one rear stile with associated patch, two stretchers possibly replaced, other scattered minor losses to carving and some separations at joints .
