19th century, sarcophagus form, hinged lid opening to brown velvet lined interior, metal lid plate monogrammed "SJA" and escutcheon, on ivory bun feet, with key, 3-3/4 x 7 x 5 in.
some surface dirt, a few scattered scratches, small chips, and small cracks to tortoiseshell
