(late 18th/19th century)
Portrait of a Seated Boy with a Drawing, leaning on a table with a sculpture of the Farnese Hercules, unsigned, oil on canvas, 50 x 39-7/8 in.; gilt wood frame, 62-1/4 x 52-3/8 in.
Note: A label verso suggests the portrait was purchased at a sale "at Callander House Bristol/and was the property of Wollaton Brigham, Esq. May 18th 1897". The auction label verso the frame refers to a sale in circa 1905 (Covington Galleries?) in which a suggested attribution was Gainsborough.
