French, circa 1900, crafted in the form of a bell tower with a gilt brass frame capped by a bell finial, moon phase dial below a brass and steel dial with Roman counters and engraved "Planchon Paris" (Mathieu Planchon), round brass movement numbered 34443 and signed "Planchon Palais Royale", spring-driven movement, half-hour strike on spiral, on square wall bracket supported by a figure of a troll, with pendulum and key, clock 20-1/4 in., with bracket 25-1/4 in.. Condition: back with textile-covered wooden door, minor restorations, working at time of examination.
