Umbrella Stand Swiss, late 19th century, rich patinated surface overall, bear cub seated at top of tree, large standing bear at bottom, finely detailed with glass inset eyes and open mouths, upper tree branches connected by wooden threaded screw as made, 76-1/2 x 27-1/2 x 23 in., good condition throughout, small bear with chip at one toe and at one tooth, one small branch at top replaced (approximately 6 in.), minor drying cracks and separations at some laminations, some surface wear at feet, other scattered very minor flaws.
