View de la Salle du cote de l'Entree, illustration for "Pl. 2e.", signed lower left "Brambilla fect.", also inscribed 2 Galerie et Buff Derriere', '1 Portique et Buffets sur le Derriere' and 'N[ota].B[ene]. Les reliefs étaient en Argent', black chalk, pen and brown ink, watercolor on paper, 8-3/8 x 11-3/8 in.; 19th century gilt wood and composition cove molding frame, 15-3/4 x 18-7/8 x 1-3/8 in.

Christie's Note: Brambilla is documented between 1750 and 1769 as working for the court of Turin. With his wife Cristina Gilli he painted landscapes, ruins, flowers and fruits for overdoors in the state apartments of the Royal palace in Turin.
