American, mid 19th century, oversize steel skate, signed "Barney & Berry/Springfield, Massachusetts" on foot plate and on both sides of the etched scroll decorated blade, 37 in.
Note:Barney & Berry was one of the most prolific skate manufacturers in mid 19th century America. The intricate design on the the store display sample demonstrated the company's artistic approach as well as the technical construction of the patented clamp-on, all steel skate.

The NC Sales Tax will not apply to any items being shipped out of state (unless the client resides in North Carolina) or to those clients with a resale tax number.
