Jade [Huang]
Chinese, carved with two fish heads with fins and scales, two drilled holes as eyes, scrolling base, 3 x 6-1/8 in., in fitted case with printed calligraphy translated in 1969 "This is a piece of western Han sacrificial jade date 200 B.C. and this poor piece of jade has always been looked up to as rare and worthy of praise. My wife asks that it be respectfully offered up. I am Shr Kuan respectfully presenting it to you Mrs. Evans, December 15th in the glorious dynastic China calendar middle of winter month day of Wan". small chip to upper scroll, box with some wear.
