glue tacked to card, some abrasions to pastel, some spotting and minute losses to paper edges; frames with abrasions

A Gentleman's Collection, from a Washington, DC Townhouse; Sotheby's, New York, October, 24, 1985, lot 105; Freeman's, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 22nd Apr, 2015, sold for $1,250. Lot originally accompanied by photocopied bill of sale and typed note suggesting that "the portraits belonged to the Nathan Lord family of Kittery Maine..." and were purchased from his family's descendants.
