Portrait of President Zachary Taylor (1784-1850), said to be from life, unsigned, oil on canvas, 30-1/4 x 25 in.; original gilt wood frame,. Condition: lined, grime, crackle, small points of retouch, discoloration to varnish lower left corner; frame resurfaced with paint-in, abrasions. Notes: General John R. Kenly, was a Mexican-American War colleague of President Taylor. It hung in General Kenly's home on West Baltimore Street, Baltimore.
