William Kavanaugh Woods was born September 27, 1783 in Albermarle Parish, Surry Co., VA. He died October 1845, Woodford Co., KY.Horace Harding was born in Conway, Massachusetts. As a young man he went west and established himself as a painter of portraits and fancy chairs in Paris, KY. He lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and Little Rock, Arkansas. He made numerous excursions throughout the South and Midwest.
