British/American, 18th/19th century, knife box, hinged lid opening to fitted divided interior, stripe and star inlay and veneers, brass oval escutcheon, 14-1/4 x 8-1/2 x 10-1/2 in.; rectangular form, hinged lid with petal inlay opening to brass and burgundy/cream fabric lined interior, 6-1/4 x 13 x 8-1/2 in.; circular brass banded lidded box faintly stamped "Spices", housing eight smaller cylindrical containers variously stamped with names of spices, overall box 3-1/2 x 9-1/2 in., smaller containers 2-3/4 x 2-1/2 in. and 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 in.

all with possible later refinishing, scattered surface scratches, bumps, and small cracks throughout; knife box with losses to veneers, especially at top right of lid, crack and separation to lid top, break and repair to top right corner; rectangular example with crack to underside, interior lining possible later; spice box with stains and finish wear, two with later affixed labels for spices
