British, early 19th century, comprising a brass mounted armchair with scrolled arms, 31 in.; three side chair examples, each with brass handle at rail, songbird painted at back (one is a later copy); and a pair of side chairs with brass mounts at back; all side chairs with caned seats and matching pink striped upholsteryÿ, Provenance: Collection from an Important American Family
generally good condition, armchair with later seat bracing, expected losses and wear to surface decoration with distress and retouch, seats have been recaned, one brass mounted example with repairs and retouch at rear stiles, light stains to upholstery, one chair is a later copy
Condition
Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser’s risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
Items purchased from our Asheville auction facility not picked up within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item.
