Rosewood and Brass-Mounted Three-Tier Whatnots
British, 19th century, each in figured rosewood, tops set with pierced brass galleries, turned shelf supports and legs set on brass casters, one with solid rosewood shelves and one in veneered rosewood, 31-1/4 x 17 x 17-1/2 in. and 33 x 16-3/4 x 16-3/4 in., both generally good condition, smaller example with some dents to brass gallery, some warping to top, shelves with scattered cracks with discolored paint retouch, later plugged screws through top at corners with some color retouch, some sun fading and minor warping, larger example with crack and minor strip patch to top, some lifting and distress at brass galleries, both with other minor surface flaws.
