two pair of dancing figures, mixed woods with slot and tab joints at knees, hips and elbows and shoulders with nails used as pivot points, smiling faces, ink and paint decoration, remnants of crepe paper, suspended on strings and supported by pine frame, one pine frame painted white, one signed, "A.H. Gibbs/Whittier, N.C.", 17-1/2 x 18-1/2 x 10 in. and 16 x 20 x 6 in.

oxidation to wood, loss to crepe paper, minor wear and abrasions consistent with age and use, one leg off at knee joint of male dancer and retained for restoration
