23.8 x 15mm case, black Arabic numeral hour marks, inside case back stamped "Platinum, 231736, Patented July 26, 1921", movement marked "J Laford, 17 Jewels", case and band with 171 single cut diamonds estimated total weight 2.50cts., likely synthetic French cut blue sapphires, clasp stamped "IRID.PLAT 10%", band 1/2 in. wide, 6-1/4 in. lg., 38.5 grams - Provenance: Proceeds to Benefit Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University
keeping time while inspected, chip/loss to corner of crystal near 7, visible repairs and tears in a few places to edge of mesh, links between diamond mountings along edges broken in seven places, some diamond mountings soldered together, discoloration to dial, dirt under crystal, synthetic blue sapphires all very heavily abraded
Condition
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
