Still Life with Flowers in a Woodland Setting with Pheasant and Songbird, signed bottom middle "A. Lamme 1767", oil on canvas, 36-1/8 x 28-3/4 in.; 20th century gilt wood frame, 42-1/8 x 34-3/4 in.
Note:A painting that fits the description of this painting was sold at Christie's, 2 April 1931 by the artist Arie Lamme (1748-1801). This painting draws some similarities with works by the artist, Jakob Bogdani (Hungarian, 1660-1724).
Provenance: Otto Zenke, Inc, Greensboro, North Carolina, purchased circa 1981 (accompanied by his letter and some research); Estate of David R. Hayworth, High Point, North Carolina

lined with wax and linen, restretched on old stretcher, yellowed varnish, craquelure, two periods of light scattered retouch; frame with abrasions

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
