Bell and Stand
probably Chinese, Ming style bell with double-dragon cap, flaring oval body with bands of stylized devices, hung by jade ring chains with cross support, finely carved hardwood stand with double supports, platform base, bell 5-3/8 x 3-3/4 in., 8-1/2 in. with chain, overall height 14 in., in mahogany and beveled glass case, 17-1/4 x 9-1/4 x 9-1/4 in., bell with small flake to one side and internal line fractures visible on both sides; stand with old breaks and repairs, silvered metal supports, possible split to platform base.
