Ames marking faint and nearly indecipherable on musician's sword, scratches, pitting to blade (mostly at tip), blade likely cut down to current length; cavalry saber with light pitting to blade, possibly cleaned at one time, leather deterioration at grip, scattered abrasions throughout, pitting to scabbard
