A pair of folk art portraits, said to be Mr. and Mrs. Hitchcock, she in a black dress, white lace collar and cap, he in a black coat, white cravat, circa 1810, unsigned, oil on canvas, 27-1/8 x 22 in.; matching modern painted frames,. Condition: both restretched on old stretchers, lined with wax and linen, crackle, cupping, cleavage, retouch in both primarily in background and clothing affecting approximately 20% of each; frame with abrasions.
