Note: This table is mentioned in The Magazine Antiques, August 1944 p. 81, as among the possessions of Louise Mallard, Prudent Mallard's granddaughter: "...an oval rosewood table with carved pedestal". Prudent Mallard's will bequests to his son George "..a black center table"" also possibly referring to this table. The traditional provenance supports the connection- Prudent Mallard to George Mallard to Louise Mallard.
