possibly Prudent Mallard, circa 1860, the canopy with turned finials and drops, silk canopy, the headboard with rose, grape and shell motifs, the foot posts with fielded gothic panels, top of foot posts grain-painted (faux rosewood), telescoping finials for netting, rosewood and some elements possibly mahogany, 112 x 70 x 88 in. (inside 63 x 78 in.) uppermost canopy molding likely an old restoration (faux-painted), headboard with break and repair at upper element, later bracing at back, scattered losses to applied moldings especially on rails, some cracks with associated paint retouch, other scattered typical cracks, chips and minor veneer repairs.
