Chest attributed to North Carolina, 19th century, pine throughout, top with original snipe hinges, open interior with lidded till, probably original gray to black paint, original bracket feet, 20 x 34-1/2 x 14-1/4 in.. Condition: lacking small drawer under till, scattered wear and abrasions to paint especially to top (chip and loss at top plugged molding), fitted with later carrying handles now removed.
