probably Pennsylvania, early 19th century, arched and painted dial with moon phase and calendar ring, eight-day brass movement, broken-arch pediment, waisted case on reeded box base with turned feet, poplar secondary, 96-1/2 x 19-1/2 x 10-1/2 in., restorations to dial paint (extensive crackle, stains and flaking with later consolidating surface coating), case generally good condition with some shrinkage cracks (especially above case door and panel below door), hood door with later iron brace at back, other scattered minor inlay repairs and surface flaws, lacking escutcheon at door.
