Middle Atlantic States, possibly New York, 1800-1810, highly figured mahogany throughout, with arched backsplash and skirt, single dovetailed drawer flanked by hinged drawer facings, on turned legs and feet, white pine and poplar secondary, 42 x 25 x 17 in. - Provenance: From the Estate of the Late Jim VanStory, Weaverville, North Carolina
later hinges on lower false drawers, cracks and distress to veneers at skirt, top possibly an early replacement (appears to have good integrity but lacking a hole for basin)
