Paint-Decorated Tall Case Clock
New York or New Jersey, 1800-1810, flat top over painted spandrels flanked by inlaid pilasters, painted parcel gilt wooden dial with federal eagle in arch, wooden works, finely figured and inlaid waisted case with arched door, with two weights and a pendulum, 86-1/2 x 21 x 10 in. restored, probably once fitted with an arched pediment, the hood spandrel painting is later, dial and works are likely associated, patch to backboard, other scattered warping, minor veneer chips and repairs, surface flaws.
