Maple Daybed probably Pennsylvania in the Great Road style, 19th century, tiger maple and walnut, the footboard set with a Federal spread-wing eagle, the arched headboard set with carved rosette, 35-1/2 x 35-1/2 x 77 in.. Condition: generally good condition, refinished, typical wear and abrasions. Notes: Attributed to Hiram K. Starnes of Scott County, Virginia; similar example illustrated with notation, pg. 72, [Great Road Style], Betsy K.
