Hersey Derby J., Salem, 1852.", body with "D" monogram, marks forÿLincoln & Foss (Boston, Massachusett, working 1848-1857), 25.72 oz. T.,ÿ 8-1/2 in.Note: Was gifted toÿCharlotte Elizabeth RichardsÿandÿHenry Pickering Walcott (1832-1932) at the time of their marriage inÿ1865. Mr. Walcott was a collateral descendant of Elias Hasket Derby, a pre-eminent post Revolutionary merchant from Salem, Massachusetts.ÿ E.
