19th century, poplar and cherry(?) with original varnished surface, the headboard boldly carved with spread-wing eagle with detailed feathers and stylized leaves, turned head and foot posts, leaf-carved legs, 58 x 56-3/4 x 82 in. surface wear and abrasions overall, rails formerly fitted with mattress supports now removed.
