Maryland or Pennsylvania, 18th century, six drawer chest in figured walnut set on a conforming frame with single long drawer, scalloped skirts and trifid feet, dovetailed drawers with poplar secondary, probably original bat wing brasses, 70-1/2 x 44-1/2 x 22 in.
patch and repair at one rear toe, rear legs with two plugged unused mortises (likely a cabinetmaker's mistake), some checking and cracks to figured drawer facings, probable restoration at some knee returns, typical repairs at drawer supports
