18th century, cherry with figured walnut veneers and poplar secondary, fan carved pediment and shell carved knees, upper case with stop fluted corners, 92 x 44-1/2 x 23 in.Note: This high chest descended in the Russell family of Boston, Massachusetts and was later displayed in the Gibbs-Blackwood house when the family purchased the home in the mid 20th century.
