circa 1760, Philadelphia or New York, serpentine scallop shell carved crest rail, pierced splat, shell carved knees, cabriole legs, ball and claw feet, 37-1/2 x 20-1/2 x 17-1/4 in.

Condition

structurally sound, later single board upholstered seat, rear seat rail is replaced, typical repairs at crest rail joints, one patch repair to rear leg and seat joint, scattered abrasions and general wear expected with age and use
