Revival Carved Mahogany Coffer
possibly Asheville, North Carolina, early 20th century, front inscribed "HGD 1927", hinged lid with open interior, box elaborately carved with various creatures in relief, original copper escutcheon and carrying handles, 13-3/4 x 26 x 14-1/2 in., excellent condition, light surface wear and abrasions, minor stains to top.
