Sir John Peachey (1720-1765), 3rd Baronet, West Dean, Sussex, wearing a silver brocaded plum velvet coat and yellow waistcoat, and holding a tricorn hat under his proper left arm, presented half-length in a feigned oval, signed lower right "A. Ramsay/1744", oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in.; gilt wood frame, 36-18/8 x 31-1/4 x 2-5/8 in.
