Portrait of Miss Matthews, in Green Silk Satin and Lace Gown, 1880, signed lower right "Alex.Cabanel/1880", oil on canvas, 45-3/4 x 28-1/4 in.; carved and gilt wood frame, early 20th century paste and linen lining, two periods of retouch with most in background, crackle, some lifting at right from lining; frame with abrasions. This indicates a picture with a sale to "Mr Matthews" the size of this painting (116.2 x 71.75 cm) and executed in 1880; II.2 indicates that a "Mister" Matthews paid Cabanel for a portrait of "Miss" Matthews, presumably a daughter or niece traveling with him.. All international customs duties and other tariffs are the responsibility of the Buyer. The Auction House and the shipper will declare the selling price as the value in all cases.
All packages will be shipped with signature required.
Shipping arrangements are made only after the invoice is paid. The payment for shipping is a separate charge from payment of your lots.
