36 total cartes de visite, many unidentified soldiers and women (some with notes attempting to identify), Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln, General Grant and wife, uniformed Union soldiers, with an emphasis on 10th Missouri Infantry Regiment, some with signatures including: "yours truly/H.H. Meredith", "very respectfully/William H. Kellogg, Lt. Mo. 10", "yours truly/Ch. Happel, Lt. Col. 10 Mo.", "yours truly/Jno. M. London/AAAG", "very truly your friend/A.F. Denny", "in the field in rear of Vicksburg, Miss./June 27th, 1863, F.C. Deimling/Major Commanding/10th Reg. Mo. Infy." (Francis Deimling inscription and signature on back, all others on front); majority are housed in period album with brass and gilt decoration, album 5 x 6 x 2 in.
