(British, b. 1930), raised on four small feet, blue and black glazes with white slip foliate design, signed with artist's cipher on reverse, circa 1981, 1-1/4 x 12-3/4 in.,. Notes: Alan Caiger-Smith is a studio potter and writer on pottery. His books on the history of tin-glaze pottery are well-known.
