Thomas Killigrew (1612-1683), after the original held by the Weston Park Foundation (possibly a late 17th/early 18th century copy), unsigned, oil on canvas, 40-1/2 x 33 in.; fine and possibly period Lawrence-type carved and gilt wood frame with deep shell and leaf corners, egg-and-dart and pearl decoration, inscribed "Painted by Van Dyck; Thomas Killegrew. Poet. Ob. 1682", 53 x 46 in.

lined with paste and linen, re-varnished with glossy varnish possibly obscuring retouch, crackle, trimmed of tacking edges; frame with some losses and abrasions
