The Israelites Rebuilding the Walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 4:6-15), possibly after plate 24, an etching by Tempesta of about the same size published circa 1590-1610, from the series The Battles of the Old Testament, N. van Aelst, publisher, inscribed lower right with the collector's initials (L. 115) in black ink "AF" (Amedee Faure, French, 1801-1878), inscribed in ink verso "628", red chalk on buff laid paper (possibly 17th century), 7-3/4 x 10-7/8 in.; gilt wood frame, 12-1/8 x 15-1/8 x 7/8 in.
