Frederick County, 1780-1800, two part figured cherry case, poplar and oak secondary, elaborately carved, with inlaid pitch pediment, set with original finials, over a sunburst, leaf and flower carved arched door, flanked by finely carved and fluted pilasters, the lower case with dovetailed drawer over panel door, similar planked by fluted pilaster, and set on original ogee bracket feet, top covered with early painted canvas cover,˜89-1/2 x 53 x 30 in.Note: Recorded by MESDA. excellent condition overall, flames section of finials are replaced, crack to central glazed panel, scattered very minor cracks and repairs, some fading to surface, interior with later brown paint/wash, door hinges likely replaced (no patches), some possible restorations to upper door frame
