probably early to mid 18th century, tile with canted corners, painted with the arms of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries, depicting Apollo and the dragon, rhinoceros crest and unicorn supporters, with the arms of the City of London below and Latin motto "Opiferque:Per:Orbem:Dicor.", pierced for hanging, 11 x 9 in.  - Provenance: Christie's, London, The Price Glover Collection of Fine English Pottery, June 14, 1988, Lot 3; Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey
